For this project, I had to use floor planner to landscape a yard for William and Kate as if they were moving to the area. I incorporated many different types of trees, plants, and flowers to the yard to make it natural as well as elegant. I also added a patio with furniture to give it a modern feel and make it functional to use. Despite the issues with floor planner, I really enjoyed this project because I had never done anything like it and I had never thought much about the landscaping of a house .The yard of a home is just as important as the in interior because everybody will see it as they walk or drive by and that is where their first impression comes from. I appreciated this project and what it taught me and would definitely do it again.

For this project, we had to create a tiny home based on the ones we had seen and learned about. In my tiny home, I chose to use light, neutral colors to make the space feel bigger and more open including white, different shades of gray, and wood furnishings. Other than the bathroom, I chose to keep the home as one space to make it feel bigger than it actually is. I also used many windows to add light to the rooms and make it feel cozy. I incorporated a loft as the bedroom to utilize the space as best as I could. I really enjoyed this project because it taught me the importance of using all of the space in a home and showed me that you don't need a large house to have everything you need.
For this project, I had to research Greece and the interior design of the country. I learned a lot about the culture and history of Greece through my research and was able to get an idea of where the inspiration for the design comes from. The homes in Greece are very neutral and minimal and go off of the idea that "less is more." I enjoyed learning about the country and creating this model. For the model, I incorporated the common theme of all white walls with blue accents as well as the major use of plants within the home. I was very excited to create this model because I would really love to visit Greece one day and now that I know more about the country, I feel that I would really enjoy a trip there.
For this project, we had to research a specific housing style. I learned about the contemporary house, wrote an essay, created a slideshow, and made a model of it. This picture above shows the model that I created based on what I learned. I tried to incorporate the modern and simplistic design of contemporary houses using neutral colors and a clean shape. I enjoyed and learned a lot from this project through my research and I'm glad I was able to do it. I really like creating what I learn about and I was able to do this from creating this model.
For this assignment, we had to build our own resume to use when applying for a job. I thought this was a very helpful project because not only did it help us know how to write a resume, now we have one to use if we need to apply for a job. The hardest part of this was learning what to put on the resume based off of your achievements and experience. Now I know for the future what employers are looking for and what is good to incorporate into the resume when writing it. I feel more prepared for my future job search and opportunities because of this assignment.
For this assignment, we had to follow the video shown, and create a 3-D house using 1 point perspective. We had to incorporate housing style, shapes, and detail. The color scheme is black and white because we only used pencil to create this house. The hardest part of this house was the small lines and detailes required to make this house look the way it does. The easiest part of this for me was the larger details because the ruler helped make them look sharp and clean. I picked this to put in my portfolio because it is a good representation of 1 point perspective on housing style. Next time, I would probably add color to the house to make it more visually appealing but overall, I am pleased with the end result of this project.
For this project, we had to create and original idea of a 3-D color wheel. I came up with the idea to wrap colorful string around a styrofoam ring to create my color wheel. My final product includes the full color spectrum and primary and secondary colors as well as their compliments. I did not use one specific color scheme because I had to incorporate all colors in the spectrum. The hardest part of this project was the tediousness required to wrap each color around the ring and the time it took to complete it. I found the overall project easy because it was not stressful and didn’t require too much focus. I picked this for my portfolio because the finished project was very pleasing and I am proud of what I created. Next time I might incorporate more intermediate colors to make the end result better but overall I am pleased with the outcome.
